First Branch of Beijing People’s Procuratorate and ISC Signed Collaboration Framework Agreement

On October 15, 2013, the First Branch of Beijing People’s Procuratorate and Internet Society of China (ISC) conducted the collaboration framework agreement signing ceremony in Beijing. 

Mr. JIAO Huiqiang, the Deputy Chief Procurator introduced the previous collaboration and pointed out that the Mediation Center of ISC had successfully mediated lots of Internet cases for years and accumulated rich case-handling experience. The collaboration with ISC would greatly expand the prosecution supervision vision and promote specialization. 

Mr. GAO Baojing, the Chief Procurator said that ISC is familiar with Internet development and the industry trends, and has a great advantage in terms of expertise. The advantages integration of the First branch of Beijing People’s Procuratorate and ISC as well as the establishment of active communication and connection mechanism, will further promote intellectual property prosecution supervision and provide high-tech legal supports. 

Mr. LU Wei, the Secretary-general of ISC, pointed out that ISC has effectively promoted self-regulation within Internet industry. The Mediation Center of ISC made great contributions in handling Internet intellectual property issues and protecting the Internet users’ rights and interests. In the future, the Mediation Center of ISC will continuously exert the advantages of the industry society and act as the bridge and conduct the collaboration with the First Branch of Beijing People’s Procuratorate, so as to improve ISC’s role in intellectual property prosecution supervision.

Mr. GAO Baojing and Mr. LU Wei signed the Framework Agreement on Strengthening Collaboration and Protecting Intellectual Property.
