2013 Cross-strait E-commerce Summit Forum Convened

On September 11, 2013, the Cross-strait E-commerce Summit Forum, one of the cross-strait e-commerce exchange and cooperation activities, convened in Yilan. Over 70 representatives from cross-strait e-commerce companies attended the summit and conducted discussion on how to promote the cross-strait e-commerce cooperation.
The exchange and cooperation activity was jointly hosted by Internet Society of China (ISC), E-commerce Committee of China Association of Trade in Services (CATIS), China International Electronic Commerce Center, Taiwan Institute for Information Industry (III), Taipei Chamber of Commerce, and Chinese Non-store Commerce Association. This exchange and cooperation activity last for two days, including summit forum, bridging meeting, promotion meeting and closed session. The host expected that it contributed to promote cross-strait e-commerce exchanges and cooperation, resolve the cross-strait e-commerce investigation and cross-border obstacles, as well as promote cross-strait economic prosperity.
At the E-commerce Summit Forum, 70 cross-strait representatives from leading e-commerce companies conducted the negotiation on cross-strait e-commerce cooperation, discussed the complementary and mutual beneficial strategy of the cross-strait e-commerce cooperation and the opportunity for global cooperation. The leaders of the famous cross-strait e-commerce companies, such as ECC (Tencent E-commerce Company), Alipay, Jiuxian.com, as well as PChome, ETMall, shared and exchanged their opinions.
Since 2009, this cross-strait bridging activity has successfully convened for four sessions. The E-commerce Summit Forum on September 11 was the start of the fifth bridging activity. As the cross-strait exchanges getting increasingly fluent, mainland e-commerce encountered mushrooming development, and potential policy, this bridging meeting attracted great attention with lots of participants, 120 people from mainland and 300 people from Taiwan area.
