ISC Released the Top 100 Chinese Internet Companies of 2015

July 15th, the Internet Society of China (ISC), and the Information Center of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) jointly released the Top 100 Chinese Internet Companies of 2015. Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Jingdong, Qihoo 360, Sohu, Netease, Sina, Ctrip, SouFun.com are the 10 of the Top100 list.
Since 2013, the Top100 list has been updated every year. The 2015 list was mainly based on the development data of 2014 of the Internet companies by calculating the scores considering factors like company scale, social impact, development potential and social responsibility. This data includes not only financial index like revenue, profit, human capital, but also operating index like rate of flow, number of active users and so on.
In general, the Top 100 Internet companies have strong economic scale, thus have remarkable impact on boosting the information consumption. Also, the Top 100 Internet companies have increasing influence and brand awareness worldwide. Among the Global Top 30 public listed Internet companies, 12 of them are from Chinese Top 100 Internet companies and 4 of them have ranked top 10 globally.
Ms. Tao Qing, the Director of Information and Communications Department of MIIT, attended the conference and gave a speech. She said that the evaluation of the Top 100 Internet companies provided an important reference for the national Internet development and policy making. Ms. Sun Weimin, the Director of Information Center of MIIT, Mr. Lu Wei, Secretary General of ISC attend the conference. During the conference, the two organizers introduced the evaluation methods of this Top 100 list of 2015.
Participants indicate that the calculation method is precisely and rigorously set, the data is liable that the report is of highly authorization, objectively reflecting our national Internet development status and industry pattern, and having a positive significance to the Internet development.
